This is a DIY I’ve been wanting to do for a while and I’m so happy I finally got around to making them! I combined a variety of bug-repelling essential oils in this beeswax based candle and the smell is amazing! I think having them housed in terra cotta pots (or other small planters) is a fun touch for the outdoor space. See below for how to make your own!
Fabric scraps are a great option for unique artwork and a great way to refrain from wasting them. Today I’ve rounded up some inspiration for you guys! I’ve done this a couple times with some of my favorite fabric scraps I had leftover from making pillows. You can use frames you already have at home or search for unique frames at your local thrift store.
I always get so inspired when I go to Terrain and on my last visit I saw single succulents in containers with moss and they just looked so pretty! I knew right away it would be a great way to use vintage glasses, old candles or jars. They would make such a cute hostess gift, or with Valentine’s coming up a great little gift for a friend or family member!
See below for materials and the how to!
I have a fun little DIY for you guys today! This little succulent tray was so fun to make— it’s like an easier version of a terrarium :) I saw this idea via Terrain and couldn’t wait to try it! I’m sharing everything I used and how I did it below.
Anchor’s art table has been sitting sort of dormant in our upstairs office since he uses our larger dining room table to do art projects on. I really thought it was such a shame because it’s such a nicely made table and I really don’t like having things in our home that we don’t use. So, I thought painting it and creating a chalkboard top could be a fun way to get it back in use again!
I saw “give” “save” and “spend” banks for sale and LOVED the idea of a kids bank specifically for giving. I think this will get him more excited, involved and give him a better understanding about what it is to give. Essentially we are using it as a little bank where he can add some money to it each time he receives/earns some, then find ways to use it for good once he accumulates enough.
Guys, we MADE this!! There’s nothing like having pieces up in your home that you put time and effort into, especially when it was done as a family. It’s a meaningful piece that I have to say is quite beautiful (maybe I'm biased :)).
There's not much that makes a home feel more like a home than putting up family photos! This spot was perfect for an eclectic display of framed moments. I decided it would be fun to go with a theme, so I chose vacation photos. Read on for some more theme ideas!
We had a specific style and color of the sconces we wanted for our back deck, so after searching for some time and not finding ones we were 100% keen on, we decided to paint some! Read on for how we did it and why we believe that finding creative solutions is usually better than settling.
Today I’m showing you how to make a canvas banner to display your very own powerful, positive message!
Add some greenery to your wall with this hanging plant basket DIY, using faux or real plants.
This is such a fun (and easy!) spring craft that can be enjoyed as a table centerpiece or given as a hostess gift!
Do you love basket wall displays as much as I do?! One of my favorite things about it is how unique and creative you can get with A. the baskets and B. the way they are displayed. They seem pretty straight-forward, but I'm going to share some things I did to make this process easier and have it come out how I want it on the first try!
Today I'm sharing how I painted and distressed this mirror to match our bedside tables and fit in more with our master bedroom look!
I'm so excited to share this furniture flip I did for our bedside tables in our master! Flipping furniture to make it your own is a fun, budget friendly and green alternative to buying new.
We were so happy the previous owners left us this chandelier, but we wanted a way to give it a bit of a freshening up and make it fit in more with our style. It looks like a different chandelier to me and all we needed was some spray paint and new bulbs!
With Valentine's Day right around the corner and having just moved into a new home, I wanted to make something super simple to decorate for the holiday. Since this project requires very little time and materials, and you probably already have what you need at home, I thought it was perfect!
There is a long winter still ahead of us! After taking down the Christmas decor we were just like, "okay, this is too bare!". We wanted a wintery look minus the holiday theme, so using some things we already had and treating ourselves to some additional items from Terrain, we created this pretty scene.
I saw these at Anthropologie and Terrain and thought they are such a neat idea! So, I decided to make my own since I had most of the materials. I thought it would be the perfect addition to the shelves in the library! I’m sharing how to make it below :)
