Hanging Foliage Basket

I was struggling to find something to go into our sun-deprived corner of our bedroom. If you saw our post about our bedroom makeover plan, you will know we are going for a very natural and calming look, which means plants are definitely involved! I know that no plant will thrive in this corner without proper sun, and didn't really want to go the faux plant route. I found this hanging wall basket while thrifting and thought it would look so great with foliage/flowers bursting out of it.
Again, plants won't do well over in this corner, so I went to Michael's and found some pretty faux foliage and air plants. I honestly wasn't sure how it was going to come out, but I absolutely love it! It brings life and natural color over into that space.
Here's how to make one if you're interested! You can totally go with a real plant like an ivy or other that hangs if you get better light in the area you plan to put it in than I do! It also looks so cute hanging on the handle of a door that isn't used!
Supplies
hanging wall basket (here's a pretty option!)
hanging plant/foliage (real or faux)
air plants (real or faux)
any other small greens or sprigs (real or faux)
twine, twist ties, floral wire or illusion cord
scissors
Secure your hanging foliage
First place your hanging foliage in and arrange how you like. One of my stems fit through the wicker nicely, so that was lucky, but for the other one I secured the stem to the basket with illusion cord. You can use any sort of fastening material as long as it will be hidden, otherwise illusion cord is great for this purpose!
Add smaller plants on top
Place your air plants or other sprigs on top to cover up any empty spots. You can also use moss or florals here!
We hope you enjoyed this little craft! Let us know what you think in the comments! xx
