DIY Citronella Candle in a Planter

This is a DIY I’ve been wanting to do for a while and I’m so happy I finally got around to making them! I combined a variety of bug-repelling essential oils in this beeswax based candle and the smell is amazing! See below for materials and the how to!

So, I thought painting it and creating a chalkboard top could be a fun way to get it back in use again!

Kids DIY: Give Bank Made With Recycled Jar

I saw “give” “save” and “spend” banks for sale and LOVED the idea of a kids bank specifically for giving. I think this will get him more excited, involved and give him a better understanding about what it is to give. Essentially we are using it as a little bank where he can add some money to it each time he receives/earns some, then find ways to use it for good once he accumulates enough.
