This is our fourth year with this veggie garden! Each year we’ve done small little updates. We constructed it in 2019, added the herb box in 2020, and added the paver and rocks in front of the gate in 2021. This year we added little hooks next to the herb box to hang gardening tools so I don’t have to bring them back and forth from the house.

Read MoreThis month I decided to do a physical mood board! I love bringing objects, textures and colors together, even if it’s not for a particular project.
Read MoreAs much as our beck deck needs a serious makeover, we won’t get around to it this year. We want to do a new layout so it’s a big job that will need to get started early spring (hopefully next year!). But in the meantime we want to enjoy it best we can, so we decided to order some new furniture, replace our light fixtures and custom make some large planter boxes that can house some tall grasses and create a sort of “wall” that will make the space feel cozy and give a sort of backdrop. Stay tuned for how this all comes together! I’ll share progress to our instagram stories, and will share the final result here once it’s done :)
Read MoreChallenge number 4 is dear to me because it’s one of the characteristics of my design style and what I think brings the spaces I create to life and filled with personality! This month I challenge you to add some soul to your space through vintage item(s). This could be a family heirloom, something from an antique/thrift store, a piece you pick up at a tag sale or Facebook marketplace, or something made out of reclaimed or old materials.
Read MoreSpring is truly here in CT and one of my favorite things about this time of year is going outside to check on buds and blooms! Our raspberry bush has started growing back, as has our mint, the forsythia, rhododendron and daffodils are fully bloomed and the buds are starting on our hydrangea tree and bushes. This time of year makes me think of a softer palette, fresh air (open windows yay!), lighter weight materials, foraging branches, and more time outside (and therefore muddy feet and paws coming into the house!). Hence why mudrooms are on my mind!
Read MoreOne of the most common requests I get is to help with recommendations on how to decorate above the fireplace mantel. It can be tricky to get it just right, but over the years I’ve noticed that I have some go-to, simple formulas that are almost always foolproof! I’m sharing 3 of those today in hopes it can help some of you get inspiration on how to style your mantel.
Read MoreChallenge number 3 is a fun one! This month I’m encouraging you to customize something you own. Maybe it’s painting a piece of furniture, changing out hardware on a dresser, adding texture to a vase or changing out a lampshade! There are so many options from small to big, just open your eyes to the possibilities :) Your aim is to either give something new life, or change something you don’t love as is.
Read MoreMarch, when we say “goodbye” to the long winter and “hello” to spring (although we did have snow in CT yesterday)! This mood board is all things light and sweet— light colors, materials and sweet details like florals and scalloped edges. I’m starting to think about what we’ll be planting in our garden and keep peeking at our plants and trees outside to see the buds starting! So exciting!
