May Mood Board & 5 Things
This month I decided to do a physical mood board! I love bringing objects, textures and colors together, even if it’s not for a particular project.
This is a fun exercise to do if you’re trying to figure out your design style or look and feel for a room! Grab a tray, some fabrics, paint chips and any objects that speak to you. If you have an item that you really love and know will definitely be in your finished space, start out with that piece and work from there, gathering colors and fabrics that work with it.
May to me is all about new life and fresh beginnings. Coming out of “hibernation” and soaking up that sunshine! Lots of outdoor time, fresh air and watching everything grow and come to life.
My 5 Things:
Have you seen this finished laundry room we did for a client? Bringing function and calming, beautiful vibes to this space was our goal! See photos below!
Our back deck is coming along! We have all the furniture, just need to finish up the custom planters and install the new sconces. Here’s a look at our plan if you haven’t seen it yet.
Our garden is planted! I’ll be sharing updates about what’s going on in our garden to my stories and I’'ll keep it all in this highlight.
I am absolutely loving the landscape design work by Kathryn Herman Design. So much beautiful inspiration! I love how she effortlessly layers while keeping everything neat and clean.
I love display easels for an alternative way to display artwork! I rounded up some pretty ones here.
