March, when we say “goodbye” to the long winter and “hello” to spring (although we did have snow in CT yesterday)! This mood board is all things light and sweet— light colors, materials and sweet details like florals and scalloped edges. I’m starting to think about what we’ll be planting in our garden and keep peeking at our plants and trees outside to see the buds starting! So exciting!
Here are my “5 things” this month:
1. We went on a family vacation to the Outer Banks, NC. It was so fun! We stayed in Duck and absolutely loved the laid-back beach vibes. Their little town center is so charming and you are always a walk from the beach.
2. My birthday is this month! :)
3. Dan made this custom peg rail in Oakley’s room! Here’s my inspiration for it. We decided on straight pegs (dowels) to keep the look simple and modern, and painted it same as walls to blend in.
4. I shared a few basic shelf styling tips on instagram for anyone who feels overwhelmed or is just getting started with shelf styling! Maybe I will do a more comprehensive blog post on it in the future :)
5. I put together these sort of untraditional easter baskets for the kids. I’ve been finding each year it’s hard to fit certain things in a traditional basket with handle, so thought this might make it easier for the Easter bunny :)
