April Favorites

In this month’s favorites, I’m focusing more on moments rather than products. Looking for gratitude in this difficult time is so important. Home is definitely our happy place, but sometimes leaving it can make us appreciate it more, so being in quarantine can lead us to forget how special home really is! Dan and I were talking about how we may one day look back on this time with fondness as weird as that may seem. The extra time we have together as family with no outside obligations is rare and we are acknowledging how important it is to savor this! So today I’m sharing some things that are making this time special for us.

Anchor's Bed Refresh With Garnet Hill

The bedding was given to me by Garnet Hill in exchange for my honest review.

We gave Anchor’s bed a little refresh! It’s no secret that I love linen bedding. It’s natural, breathable, soft, works year-round. Most of all, I love the lived-in, organic look of linen— it always makes me just want to jump right in! So naturally I had to choose this wonderful fabric for his updated bedding! Garnet Hill is definitely my go-to for linen bedding— I can trust that they’re free of harmful substances and I love that they’re garment-washed for extra softness! They also have beautiful color choices.

Closet Organization: Jewelry

I finally got around to organizing my jewelry are in my closet! Huge thanks to dan for building me this beautiful shelf and necklace holder :) What got my momentum going was seeing Katie Bookster’s awesome DIY for this necklace hanger! How cute is it? She has the best DIYs—stuff that you will actually want to and be able to do! Definitely go check her youtube page out if you haven’t already :)

Fabric Scraps as Art

Fabric scraps are a great option for unique artwork and a great way to refrain from wasting them. Today I’ve rounded up some inspiration for you guys! I’ve done this a couple times with some of my favorite fabric scraps I had leftover from making pillows. You can use frames you already have at home or search for unique frames at your local thrift store.

All Things Spring Clean

I have to admit I don’t plan to do a crazy spring clean this year. My weekly cleaning routine is pretty sufficient to keep our home in good shape. There are a few spaces/things I will do as a “spring clean”, but for the most part I try to keep up with everything throughout the year.
