I finally got around to organizing my jewelry are in my closet! Huge thanks to dan for building me this beautiful shelf and necklace holder :) What got my momentum going was seeing Katie Bookster’s awesome DIY for this necklace hanger! How cute is it? I have to admit I don’t plan to do a crazy spring clean this year. My weekly cleaning routine is pretty sufficient to keep our home in good shape. There are a few spaces/things I will do as a “spring clean”, but for the most part I try to keep up with everything throughout the year. We made some updates to our master bedroom recently, the biggest being upgrading to a king bed! It was a long time coming as Anchor sleeps between us every night and it was getting way too crowded in a queen size bed haha We also got some new bedding and did a couple fun DIYs!

As many of you may know, we are currently working on our next room renovation which we are calling the library! Some of you may know I’m obsessed with books and reading so this is a dream come true. It will be a place to relax, read, play games and chat with friends. It will be attached to the playroom which will be nice since Anchor and friends can play while adults are in the adjoining room.

The countdown is on in our household!! We usually wait until the day after Thanksgiving to really start decorating, but I couldn’t help starting with a few festive items! We put up our faux tree in the entryway (we get a real one for the family room). I love the way the string lights show through the front door! Garnet Hill gifted us this beautiful hand-hooked pillow that fits perfectly on this bench and this fun countdown to Christmas block set that I couldn’t resist! How cute is it?! I love that guests are greeted by this site, and they will know exactly how many days until Christmas :)

As much as I want to get a new roof, add a front porch and other little updates, it’s important to remind ourselves how far we’ve come with this house, especially since we are doing a lot of the work ourselves.
