As many of you may know, we are currently working on our next room renovation which we are calling the library! Some of you may know I’m obsessed with books and reading so this is a dream come true. It will be a place to relax, read, play games and chat with friends. It will be attached to the playroom which will be nice since Anchor and friends can play while adults are in the adjoining room.

This room was very closed off from the rest of the house and didn’t lead to good flow on the bottom floor, so the first thing we did was cut a hole in the wall for French doors which will lead into the playroom. We are shiplapping the ceiling and replacing the floors with wide plank white oak.

The main vision I had for this room began with the idea of built-in bookshelves surrounding the French doors as you will see in the inspiration photo added to my design board above.

I will continue to share progress on instagram stories, so stay tuned!
