I saw these at Anthropologie and Terrain and thought they are such a neat idea! So, I decided to make my own since I had most of the materials. I thought it would be the perfect addition to the shelves in the library! I’m sharing how to make it below :)
Read MoreI spoke a bit on Instagram stories about a week ago about creating a home you’re proud of and that is and for YOU. This requires knowing your wants, needs, preferences and values. But if we figure this out, it is a way to make sure we are purchasing with purpose and only bringing items into our home that bring us joy and aligns with our values. Why is this important? By having a home that works for us and is filled with pieces that are personal to us, we will truly find joy in our home. We won’t be constantly editing and growing tired of our decor. We won’t feel the need to follow trends and styles that aren’t authentic to who we are.
Below I’m sharing tips along with a free PDF printable for you to fill out to get to know yourself and your home style better, and to then keep somewhere that you can access before making purchases.
Read MoreLibrary progress! I can’t believe the foundation of the library is done and now I can start decorating, and best of all get books on the shelves! We did SO much work to this room, between cutting a hole to create a passthrough to the back room, adding French doors, creating custom built-ins, shiplapping the ceiling, replacing the old hardwood with wide plank white oak floors, painting the room a nice fresh white…it’s a whole new room! You can see our first progress post here.

Anyway, here are 3 sophisticated office design options. I do these both to hone my skills and hopefully give my readers inspiration for spaces in their own home. Take a look back at my other “Get the Look” posts for more inspo!
Read MoreThis is a DIY I’ve been wanting to do for a while and I’m so happy I finally got around to making them! I combined a variety of bug-repelling essential oils in this beeswax based candle and the smell is amazing! I think having them housed in terra cotta pots (or other small planters) is a fun touch for the outdoor space. See below for how to make your own!
Read MoreI’ve been obsessed with this dressing recipe the past few months! It’s light and healthy but has a little more pizazz than just oil and vinegar. I have a hard time finding dressings that I love and that are vegan, gluten-free and soy free, so I just make my own. I’m sharing the recipe below along with my go-to salad base that’s the perfect bed for any protein and/or fats you want to add!
