Planter Makeover + the Container Plant Combos I Used

I posted these to my instagram about a week ago but figured I’d do a more in depth post here. I’m thinking I will start sharing more about container planting with you guys! It’s one of my favorite hobbies.

I had leftover paint from our gate so decided to give these planters a little makeover. The paint is Benjamin Moore Black Satin in Aura Exterior, flat.

The big pot’s thriller (the one in the middle that gives height) is Prince Tut. Love how fun this plant is! The spiller is Variegata. It’s already filled out and spilled over so much more since I’ve taken these photos! The middle magenta beauty is Angelonia Archangel Raspberry. The smaller flowers are Violet Ice.

The smaller planter is a mix of ornamental grass, Pineapple Mint and Violet Ice.

I love a unique, organic container planting combo. I have so much fun experimenting with what I think will work together. What are some of your favorite container plants?
