Renovations
I’m so excited to finally share Oakley’s bedroom! My goal with this space was to create a calm, simple bedroom that he can grow into, while adding cozy and sweet details for character and personal touches.
Today I’m sharing our latest mini project— the kids’ entryway coat closet! I wanted to make the closet more functional for the kids, meaning they can reach everything they need and easily put their things away. What started as me just wanting to add a low peg rail turned into a closet overhaul (and we ended up updating our coat closet as well!).
Projects
I can’t believe we are doing this, but we are modifying the kitchen garden! More accurately, redoing it. I love this little garden so much and it has brought me so much joy, but over the years of having it we have figured out some ways in which it can be so much better.
We have a few family room updates in the works that I’m excited to share with you guys! This was one of the very first rooms we worked on when we moved in and is our most used room. You can look back at this post to see the changes we made when we first moved in.
A little update to our 8 year old’s bedroom wall! This wall used to hold crates hung on their sides to hold books. It began to feel a little young for him and we needed a storage solution for all his hats so updating this wall with custom peg rails seemed like a good solution!
Design + Decor

I often base my color palettes for home design and decor off of nature. The colors in nature always work beautifully together, naturally. In addition to the colors working well together, it often creates a very calming color palette. Today I’m sharing a few color palettes based on different nature landscapes and I also mocked up a few design boards to show you how I would put it into practice.
A design board for a powder bath with natural materials and freshness and warmth in mind.
Our powder bath reveal! Small changes can make a big impact. We didn’t do anything majorly drastic but what we did do freshened up the space and brought it more in line with the rest of our home. I wanted this space to feel fresh, warm, simple and natural.
