Boy's Room Hat Wall
A little update to our 8 year old’s bedroom wall! This wall used to hold crates hung on their sides to hold books. It began to feel a little young for him and we needed a storage solution for all his hats so updating this wall with custom peg rails seemed like a good solution!
If you saw this post, you know this was one step in his room updates; we also plan to update his closet with better storage solutions.
This is the same style peg rail we did in our younger son’s room as well as the boys’ coat closet, except we left these ones raw wood (sealed with water based finish). It give a cohesive feel throughout the home.
Goal: Update this wall with something that feels more age appropriate. Create a storage solution for hats.
Plan: Create 2 simple peg rails reachable by 8 yo
Materials used: red oak boards 1in x 3.5in, red oak dowels .5in, water based seal
