Garden Modification Plans
I can’t believe we are doing this, but we are modifying the kitchen garden! More accurately, redoing it. I love this little garden so much and it has brought me so much joy, but over the years of having it we have figured out some ways in which it can be so much better.
At first we were just going to change the way the garden beds are laid out, arranging them around the inside perimeter rather than having them in the middle of the structure. This would give us more planting real estate and be easier to access/move around the garden. I also have always envisioned having a place to sit in the garden, pie in the sky would be a full sized table where we can eat dinner at sometimes. So, talking with my husband we decided for several reasons it would be best to just expand the garden, leaving enough room in the center for a table and chairs.
I am sad to be taking down our old structure but I know this will make for a better garden, more space to grow more food and a way to enjoy it even more.
