Since the library and playroom are not attached (thanks to the doorway we added between the two rooms!), we are renovating them pretty much simultaneously. Read MoreWe made some updates to our master bedroom recently, the biggest being upgrading to a king bed! It was a long time coming as Anchor sleeps between us every night and it was getting way too crowded in a queen size bed haha We also got some new bedding and did a couple fun DIYs!
Read MoreAs many of you may know, we are currently working on our next room renovation which we are calling the library! Some of you may know I’m obsessed with books and reading so this is a dream come true. It will be a place to relax, read, play games and chat with friends. It will be attached to the playroom which will be nice since Anchor and friends can play while adults are in the adjoining room.

Read MoreThe countdown is on in our household!! We usually wait until the day after Thanksgiving to really start decorating, but I couldn’t help starting with a few festive items! We put up our faux tree in the entryway (we get a real one for the family room). I love the way the string lights show through the front door! Garnet Hill gifted us this beautiful hand-hooked pillow that fits perfectly on this bench and this fun countdown to Christmas block set that I couldn’t resist! How cute is it?! I love that guests are greeted by this site, and they will know exactly how many days until Christmas :)

I decided to take a look back at how our house looked when we bought it and wow! I hardly recognize it!
Read MoreI absolutely LOVE this season! Decorating with pumpkins, gourds and fall plants allows for so much creativity and color. I had so much fun decorating our front steps. Everything is from our local mom and pop nursery. The guy ringing me out said “wow you have quite the assortment here” 😂. And I have to say it was a workout getting these pumpkins into my car, then back out and up the pathway to the front steps! So, if you’re looking for some exercise, just decorate your front porch.
Read MoreThese window boxes make our house exterior feel complete (besides the need for a new roof 😜)!! When we took out the overgrown trees on this side of the house and decided to forgo shutters when we had the house painted, it just seemed too bare on this part of the house. So, we decided to add some window boxes! Dan made these by hand and honestly his handiwork never disappoints!
