Unexpected + Charming Kid's Closet Storage
When I saw this hutch top at the Goodwill, I just knew it would be perfect for Anchor's room to store his books and some toys. When I brought it home, it just clicked that it should be in his closet! I love that we can easily tuck away the toys to allow more room/less clutter in his bedroom. He can easily open his closet and grab any toy at any point. It's a bit more charming then just regular shelving and the twinkle lights totally make this space a magical little corner of his bedroom!
IMPORTANT! just as with any furniture in a child's room, make sure it is fastened to the wall even in the closet. This is the first thing we did with this piece.
See what you have around that could fit in your closet or check out thrift stores and flea markets for interesting storage options. Before you go on your search, take measurements of the width and depth of your closet!
I used the top shelf to put decorative items and string the twinkle lights.
The middle shelf is the perfect size for his books and underneath we stored his baskets and barn.
