Our Earthy Eclectic Entryway

I have to admit that this entryway turned out pretty much nothing like I had planned but I LOVE it!! We had originally planned for Dan to build a nesting bench/table here and were going to put artwork above. BUT, we went to Home Goods one day looking for something else entirely, and saw this bench and mirror and voila! We have our entryway decor :)
Sometimes plans have to go out the window when you fall in love with a piece that would work great in a space. I'm so happy we went with our gut! This mirror is such a statement piece and goes so perfectly with our earthy eclectic vibe.
A snake plant in a basket, natural area rug and fringe pillow are the perfect touches for this space without it feeling overdone or crowded.
We had a larger area rug under the bench, but after living with it for a while we realized it was too big for the space. It was jutting out into the traffic area. We needed kind of an odd size for the space and overstock is one of those places that you can punch in the exact size you're looking for and all the options they have will come up—and they had a great selection to choose from!
We have plans to paint and change flooring in the foyer down the road, but that's a while away!
