Our New Front Door | Progress

Our new front door!! I have had my eye on this 4-lite style door for so long and am so excited to have it installed in our house! We are slowly updating/modernizing our home, so this definitely feels like it fits in more with our style and our overall plan for the house. It also ties in so nicely with our garage exterior!

Obviously I have no patience and had to share the progress with you guys, because as you can see the door isn’t even painted yet and we have a lot of work to do in the inside.

Here’s the before!

So as you can see we had the fan above the door removed and replaced with a transom, the whole door and sidelights replaced, and we also swapped out the light fixtures to something a bit more simplistic and modern.

We decided to keep the trim really simple to keep with the overall style of our home plan and tie in with the garage.

As you can see, the new door and transom let in SO much more light. It spills out into the kitchen now and it’s just so nice to have that natural light.

Obviously this is all a work in progress! I will continue to share our progress with this project as we move along. We won’t be painting the door until the spring because it’s too cold for the paint to stick correctly at this point. The door is fiberglass so there’s no harm in not painting it, which is nice!

Our door is from ENER-G Tech. The installation and trim work was done by our contractor.
