A Space for Plants
Ever since we moved into this house I have been wanting to make this window my little plant corner. A few months ago that wouldn't have worked because Anchor would have pulled them all down, but now he's pretty much over that stage (hopefully)!
I had so much fun creating this little space and I wanted to share some tips I learned along the way to make it work and look organic/interesting.
1. Be mindful of their home
Will your plants be in direct sunlight all day? Is it colder/warmer than the rest of your house in this area? Choose plants according to the answers to these questions. I chose plants that do best in "bright light" since this window gets a ton of sun all day.
2. Mix up plants
Once you know which type of plants to get, make sure you choose a varietyβshort, tall, wide leaves, little leaves, overflowing and tidy.
3. Mix up pots
This is the fun part! You can even leave them in the pots/containers they came in and find fun dishes to put underneath them.
4. Add in other fun visual elements
Rocks, shells, air plants, wood rounds, sticks, etc. Also find a pretty spritzer or watering can that can stay as part of the scene!
5. Take good care of your plants and continue to change things up as you wish!
(I've already tinkered with my set up like 50x :))
