A Woodland Birthday Party
I LOVE a good woodland theme party, especially for a kid's birthday, but it works just as well for weddings and showers, too!
We did a woodland theme for Anchor's first birthday, so I'll share some things we did!
1. Set up a table vignette
We used a simple fold-out table and covered it with burlap found at home depot. I then covered it with moss (found at Michael's), pinecones and leaves. Put some leafy foliage and weed-like flowers in vases for some height.
Use twine to hang fresh-cut pine and pinecones for the front of the table.
2. The snacks and food are key
A quick search on Pinterest will bring up all kinds of creative food ideas for a woodland party. We made "toadstool" pops, chocolate caramel "acorns" and s'mores trail mix. For Anchor's cupcake topping we found a cute fawn toy at the toystore.
3. Little touches
We ordered the adorable moss and twig crown off of Etsy. Dan made the birch tree picture holders. I found a live-wood edge piece at Michaels, we stained it and I lettered Anchor's name on it. We scattered birch branches throughout and vases filled with wildflowers.
Theme parties are so fun! Have you ever done a woodland theme party?
