Weekend in York, Maine
Some photos from our spontaneous trip to York, Maine! We booked the trip seriously last minute—I mean Friday night and we went on Saturday morning haha. I love doing things like this with my fam! It's such a fun little surprise/treat to do after a long week or stressful few days.
We stayed in York at the Anchorage Inn in one of the "lofts" rooms. It was nice because it almost felt like your own little private bungalow instead of being in a hotel room. It also had better views of the ocean than the hotel part and a cute little porch with rocking chairs :)
York is a really pretty, quaint seaside town. It has a huge beach (which surprisingly completely disappears at high tide), a downtown with shops and restaurants and the Cape Neddick Lighthouse.
We took the last part of our trip to check out Kennebunkport. We ate at the Colony Hotel (Anchor loved the putting green there!) and then hung out at Goose Rocks Beach. (If you do go to this beach in-season you need a parking pass which you can get at Goose Rocks General Store.)
I definitely want to go back for a longer stay in the future, but I'm so glad we did this! Anchor was very happy just to explore new beaches :)
