Although we put together our closet a while ago, I never thought much about sharing it as it’s not something I thought was worthy of being shared. But the more I realized the functionality and simplicity of what we did in here, I thought some of our readers might enjoy hearing about what we did. There was no renovation work and we don’t have any fancy built-ins in here, but the small, easy to do changes we made in here really transformed our closet into a space we enjoy going into!
Welcome to our fall home! Today we’re sharing a little snippet of our home all ready for the fall season :) Pumpkins, mums, candles and cozy knits are scattered throughout for a festive but not overdone feel. Now if only I could share scents through the screen! Think pumpkin, fig and cardamom as you journey through this tour :)
We've been working on setting up little vignettes, or hangout spots, in the backyard. It's nice having different sections that work alone as well as a whole for small to large gatherings or just as a family. One thing I knew I wanted to add to the back for fun variety was a macrame hammock.
We are SO excited to share Anchor's bedroom makeover with you guys!! We both agree it may be our favorite room in the house right now—it's just so darling :) Lots of love went into creating this room for Anchor. We kept it closed off until it was fully finished so we could give him a grand reveal!
Welcome to our eat-in kitchen! We didn’t change much about this area, but subtle upgrades and personal, thoughtful decor make this a space we love!
Anchor's bedroom is our current design project we are tackling. We really want this to be a space that is both fun and a room he can grow into.
We are SO excited to share our master bedroom refresh with you guys! We are so happy with the outcome—it feels like a relaxing oasis with the light colors, plants, natural elements and bohemian touches.
We have finished all the big renovations and are now in the decorating stage of our family room update! Here is our initial planning. I can't wait to share the final outcome with you guys!
Do you love basket wall displays as much as I do?! One of my favorite things about it is how unique and creative you can get with A. the baskets and B. the way they are displayed. They seem pretty straight-forward, but I'm going to share some things I did to make this process easier and have it come out how I want it on the first try!

A thrifted or handed down piece of furniture can become a charming storage option when placed inside a closet.
Do you have a room that you need to decorate from scratch? Is it completely empty or you want to do an entire makeover? It can be SO overwhelming, but if you approach it with patience and my tried and true steps below, it can be fun and the outcome exquisite!
We were so happy the previous owners left us this chandelier, but we wanted a way to give it a bit of a freshening up and make it fit in more with our style. It looks like a different chandelier to me and all we needed was some spray paint and new bulbs!
This post is very dear to my heart and I feel like it's something we are sort of experts on at this point. We have been renting for 6 years—first in a condo and now in this beautiful old bungalow by the beach.
It is no secret that we are basket obsessed over in this house! They are so versatile and look SO GOOD. Below I'm sharing 4 of the ways we use them in our home currently. Most of these baskets are from Home Goods. Check your local home stores for unique finds!
There is a long winter still ahead of us! After taking down the Christmas decor we were just like, "okay, this is too bare!". We wanted a wintery look minus the holiday theme, so using some things we already had and treating ourselves to some additional items from Terrain, we created this pretty scene.
Happy New Year friends!! I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and feel motivated, excited and rested for the new year ahead.
When I started thinking about what I want for myself and my family in the new year, I couldn't help but be drawn to this idea that in order to have a happy, successful and creative year, it all starts with an inspiring home.
