We are SO excited to share Anchor's bedroom makeover with you guys!! We both agree it may be our favorite room in the house right now—it's just so darling :) Lots of love went into creating this room for Anchor. We kept it closed off until it was fully finished so we could give him a grand reveal! He was very excited about it and LOVES playing up here. He has yet to transition out of mom and dad's bed yet and sleep in his cool new bed, but we will be working on that soon! At least he's super excited about his new bed, so hopefully that will help ;)
At the end of this post I have linked many of the items in his room.
And here's what the room looked like before:
I found these cute crates at Home Goods and knew they would make great shelves! We made sure mostly everything is within reach for Anchor. It's really important to us that his room is made FOR him and it feels that way to him.
We wanted the space over Anchor's dresser to be simple yet playful. Playing with the height and placement of the items helped to make that happen. Here's the post to see Anchor's full dresser makeover.
His bed is probably one of my favorite things about this room. We really wanted a Montessori style bed (floor bed) but actually had a lot of trouble finding one! We almost settled on having Dan build one (on top of all the other projects he was doing), but then I came across this beautiful one on Etsy!
It was important to us to incorporate a few plants that Anchor would have the responsibility of taking care of in his bedroom. How adorable is this fiddle leaf?!
Dan made these gorgeous reclaimed wood floating shelves! I love the wash, texture and authenticity of them.
We love the way this fabric map hangs over the shiplap. A beautiful, soft texture over a hard, rustic one.
