Our Holiday Home Must Have Tools & Accessories

Our holiday decorating is complete around here, and I couldn’t have done it with out these must haves below! I’m sharing some items/tools that make holiday decorating easier and some of the items are just things I like to have on hand for the season, like tapered beeswax candles and a wick cutter.

1.WYZE smart plug. I can’t imagine what life was like before these smart plugs lol. We have all our holiday lights throughout the house on these plugs and connected to the WYZE app. We can put them on timers or go to the app and turn them on and off whenever.

2. Beeswax candles. I like having an extra box on hand since we tend to light more taper candles this time of year!

3 and 4. Twine in various sizes. Perfect for stringing dehydrated orange garland, hanging homemade ornaments or tying bells to wreaths.

5 and 6. Ribbon in different textures and sizes. Great for hanging wreaths or for adding a little bow to sconces or mirrors.

7. Tacks. For hanging lightweight items (where holes can be hidden).

8. Outdoor fairy lights. These are so great! We have them on our window box trees and I can control them with the remote. This is our second year using them and I can attest to them working through rain, sleet and snow!

9. Wick cutter. Easily trim candle wicks since I burn more candles this time of year.

10 and 11. Flameless/ battery powered candles in various sizes. These add that ambiance without the need for an actual candle. Perfect for homes with pets and kids where you want to place candles on low tables without the worry!

12 and 13. Command strips. Such a must have for me! I use them every year to hang temporary decor where I don’t want to leave a mark. They come in different sizes and clear options available. Make sure you order the right weight limit for what you’re hanging.

14. Floral wire. For creating or affixing garlands, wreaths.

15. Pruners/snips. For clipping greens to bring indoors, pruning tree or garland.
