After weeks go having our house swarmed by painters, the job is complete!! It feels so nice to have a clean, freshly painted exterior! It makes all the other work we’ve done on the outside, like the landscaping, garage exterior project and from door replacement stand out so much nicer.

I’ve had a few instances where I went through my closet and got rid of a lot of items, but never really with much of a plan or strategy. Although we put together our closet a while ago, I never thought much about sharing it as it’s not something I thought was worthy of being shared. But the more I realized the functionality and simplicity of what we did in here, I thought some of our readers might enjoy hearing about what we did. There was no renovation work and we don’t have any fancy built-ins in here, but the small, easy to do changes we made in here really transformed our closet into a space we enjoy going into!

We are getting so close!! We’ve done a few things that really make this space feel like it’s getting somewhere. Painting takes so long that weeks can go by where you hardly see a change, but we’ve done things like put up the light fixture and paint the interior of the front door yellow!

In an effort to simplify our life more, I’ve been changing my thought process and habits with shopping/consuming. To take it even further, I wanted to challenge myself to a month of no unnecessary purchases and to also see if I could get rid of even more things around the home that we really don’t need.
